IMHO are to be found at Marshland in Sandwich on Rte 6A. Absolutely AMAZING strawberry shortcake muffins, pumpkin spice, and lots of other interesting flavors as well as the old favorites (and they are huge!)

However, we'll be staying in Brewster this year and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some places for fabulous morning baked goods in Brewster - muffins, scones, etc - great coffee would be a plus too! Thanks

There is a great coffee/ice cream/bake shop in Orleans called The Chocolate Sparrow on Route 6A. Their coffee is wonderful and their baked goods look yummy! Orleans is just a short drive from Brewster.

Just wanted to mention that there's "Hot Chocolate Sparrow" in Orleans located at 5 Old Colony Way. "Chocolate Sparrow" is located in Eastham on rte 6 in a strip shopping center going toward P'town on the left. The Sparrow in Eastham is mainly candy. The Sparrow in Orleans has lots of specialty coffee drinks, baked goods, and candy. The Orleans Sparrow is a little tricky to find. Do a search on map quest since their website I've linked below unfortunately has no directions.

If Bonnatt's bakery is still in Harwich, check it out. It was on the corner of 28 (main ?) and something. Diagonally across from what used to be the Rexford Restaurant, near the Melrose Inn (not too useful I know, but it's been a while since there). If no muffins try their Melt-A-Aways - heavenly ! Back in the day - you'd find the place by the line down the street in the early morning.

The Cottage Street Bakery in Orleans has delicious baked goods and is known for their specialty muffin, "Dirt Bombs" (French Doughnut Puff) a cinammon-and-sugar-covered muffin, but they have a lot of other muffin varieties as well. It's at 5 Cottage Street, a little difficult to find, off rte. 28 near the rotary. Try doing a mapquest search to find it. I've linked their website below

This past week we found a place on 6A in Orleans called The Hole that had super muffins and donuts; not to mention delicious omelets and breakfast sandwiches. The portions were huge; the ingredients fresh; and everything came out piping hot. Our party of six ate for $41 which included a dozen donuts to go. Worth a try for any breakfast lover!
