        <content>Aubergine was always one of my favorite restaurants in Portland and I was recently informed that it closed in Feb. Is it true? Does anyone know what happened? Thanks</content>

      <content>There was a newspaper article up in the window. According to the article, they just couldn't operate profitably anymore, so they closed.</content>

      <content>sad, but true. But try Hugo's. It's wonderful. They have a special deal going on Mon and Tues nights.
 And the new owners of Caffe Uffa (I think it's just called Uffa now) do a monthly charity dinner, where 50% (I think) goes to a specific charity. It's a multi-course dinner with all diff. wine. Very nice.</content>
