Yes, first time fall of 1965, and additional times until 1980 for the last time. Reason : moved out of State. Was terrific then, don't know now.

I have heard that in "those days" it was a terrific place. Then apparently it fell upon hard times/evil days although I know nothing specific. Now I understand that it has been taken over by a young chef "from the cape" and a revival could be underway. If anyone checks it out, hope they'll let us know.
      TIA

I have been there with a wine group. We had a 7 course tasting menu ($85) which included trout with caviar in a light fish reduction, veal cheeks in the style of osso bucco, house smoked salmon tartare served in soup spoons w/o handles (as an amuse bouche), a delicious lobster salad with a warm vinegrette, etc. etc. Better than Radius in Boston and as good as a three (but perhaps not four) star NYC meal. The dessert degustation is show stopping (and is of four star quality).

    2. Well, I'll answer my own question. I have now been there. It was a 50 minute drive and most definitely worth the trip. I believe it is as good as Sienna once was. It has only been open between two and three months and definitely deserves support. I hope others will go and report back here. llwb
