Lunch in Berkshires

Jon R Aug 25, 2001 07:03 AM

My parents are visiting from California and we will be taking them for a daytrip to the Berkshires tomorrow.
Anybody have any good casual but good lunch recommendations? Thanks in advance.

The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge is a classic. If your folks know the Norman Rockwell snowy Stockbridge street scene, they'll forever be able to bore their neighbors by pointing to it (on the print they may or may not bring home) and say, "We had lunch there."

Thanks ML. My parents switched gears and decided they wanted to go to Newport, RI for the day. We had lunch at the Black Pearl- excellent lobster rolls and clam chowder. Our family will definitely visit the Red Lion though. We love the Berkshires.
