I might be totally out of it, but I don't remember reading or hearing about this. Lamberts opened a market on Tremont Street near the Park Street T station. It's where the Boston Tourism shop used to be. Usual fruits and veggies like the stand has in Downtown Crossing. But they also have a deli counter where they make sandwiches (Boar's Head), juices and sodas, pasta, sauces, salad dressings, bread, muffins, and more. They have a hot food counter with some pasta and lasagna. Hopefully this will do well and they will offer even more healthy lunchtime alternatives. They are open 7am-8pm. Nice change for the neighborhood. I assume this whole enterprise is tied to the Lamberts in Dorchester, right?

I'm a fan of the stand in Downtown Crossing, because it's one of the few places between my office and home where I can stop and pick up any fresh produce that I might need for dinner. Plus they usually seem to discount at the end of the day. I'll have to check out the new location.
