We're off to Seattle in May with my two young children and would love some suggestions of decent/good places to eat that either have a child's menu or at least are child friendly.

We're open to any kind of food.

Thank you.

We enjoyed a wonderful family lunch for 12 after Thanksgiving at Vios Cafe in Seattle in the Capitol Hill area...good Greek food, great service...and a play area for children. Everyone was happy.

Vios gets extremely crowded on weeknights, though---go in the afternoon or right when dinner starts, or you'll be waiting a long time, and the kids won't be happy. Last time we showed up at around 6 p.m. on a Tuesday and it was already packed.

Cafe Lago is a good one---usually lots of kids there.

I'd use your best judgement about your toddler's behavior and ability to stay seated when it comes to Cafe Lago. I've heard many complaints about thoughtless parents/out of control kids there. It's a fairly nice restaurant, not one that you would normally think of to bring kids to, except that all of the neighborhood has decided to do just that.

There have been a number of threads about kid friendly restaurants if you search.

That's a reasonable response. If your toddler needs to run around and shout, Vios is the place to go. If they can manage to stay seated and reasonably well-behaved, you will be comfortable at Lago, if only because half the other tables are likely to have small children too. And there are plenty of other good restaurants in the latter category. I can't think of too many others where anything goes, kidswise, the way it does at Vios (and I say that approvingly, but, naturally, people who don't like kids really hate this about it).

As I recall, Vios has a special corral all fenced off in the back, replete with stuffed animals and other toys. This may keep the little buggers out from underfoot...
