Hi Everyone--

There were two products available when I grew up (outside NYC) that I can't find up here. One is a candy called Goldenberg's Peanut Chews and the other is Linden's cookies (sold in three-packs).

Any leads on where to get them retail in the Boston Area? I've tried Hidden Sweets in Harvard Square but no luck...

Goldenbergs Peanut chews are amnufactured outside of philadelphia, and are fantastic. I have not seen them here. I used to work with the husband of one of goldenbergs employees - lots of free peanut chews. YUM, YUM.

Its one of the few philadelphia products that I miss.

Lindens are sold every day in most of the lobby shops of the office towers in the Financial District.

I pick up the chews from time to time, but I can't remember the various places I do that. They are available in the area, that I know, unless they've suddenly been withdrawn from distribution. (I picked up some last in the early fall, IIRC.)

Peanut Chews and UTZ Crab Flavored chips are at the top of my list of things that are hard to find here that I miss from when I was growing up in Maryland. I think I still have a pack or two of Peanut Chews in my fridge from the last time I visited family.

Please pass the word if you find any place in the area that sells them.

nothing like them. Utz crab chips are regular potato chips with old bay seasoning. Herrs makes a Old bay chip too using the real Old Bay but it is not as good as the Utz version IMO.

These peanut chews are a favorite in the house...you find them in the strangest places, I just bought some last week at Hollywood Video (Mass. Ave, Arlington) 4/$1.

And I've seen them randomly at c-stores like 7-11...

they are no longer called Goldenberg's Peanut Chews unfortunately. They sold out to Just Born candies a couple of years ago. Their packaging has changed. I have not had them since so cant say if they messed up the candy. Hopefully they did not.

Here is their new website which is horrible. Whoever chose the fonts and layout should take a usability class.
