Many Davis Square restaurants look similar...
In davis square, I see many restaurants that look like they could be a good place for a quick lunch: some place casual where I can get a simple lunch alone for less than 10 dollars or so. Are the sandwiches (or whatever) at any of these better than the rest? I'm thinking about Someday Cafe, Mike's, Joshua Grille, Natural's, Diesel, Blue Shirt Cafe,... I'm sure at least some of those are fancier or more expensive than I'm looking for.
So, which restaurants should I try, and which dishes (or sorts of dishes) are best? (My list up there is by no means complete... I'm just trying to give an idea for the type of restaurant I'm thinking of, as opposed to Wing Works or Diva, say.)
Thanks!

I'm one of the contrarians in liking Anna's Taqueria and being severely disappointed with Chacarero (most chowhounders seem to go the other way on this question). There is a branch in Davis, which is an option.
My default lunch option, however, is Dave's Fresh Pasta. I have not yet had a bad sandwich there, and there are some tables outside for alfresco dining if it isn't disgustingly hot. And my addiction there is the sauteed spinach sandwich, served up typically with goat cheese and avocado and grilled. Didn't think there was such a thing as vegetarian evil, but here it is. Their Mediterranean salad and caesar salad wraps are also delish.

If you want to venture a bit out of Davis, Victor's Deli in Ball Square makes frresh specials daily and has great subs. I have had hundreds (literally) of chicken parm. sandwiches in my life and Victor's is in the top three.
