wine dinner at Dahlia Lounge (SEA)

I just received an e-mail from the Tom Douglas restaurant group announcing a wine dinner at the Dahlia Lounge featuring winemaker Mike Januik ($125 for five courses and wine pairings). They are featuring a Petite Verdot '03, a bordeaux blending grape you rarely see on its own.
I will happen to be in town next week and wondered if folks think this might be worth it, if reservations are available.

I did end up going and it was lots of fun and delicious.
The hostess was so impressed that I had reserved a spot all by myself that she sat me right next to Mike Januik which was very cool.
I loved my visit to Seattle and will be back to soon.

I am so impressed that you went by yourself. I have hesitated to go to these type events by myself because I wasn't sure I would be welcomed. I must ay that the staff at the Dahlia is always very welcoming and professional. You have encouraged me to go to some future event.

I went to a Seghesio wine dinner at Dahlia and it was fabulous. I don't remember the price. Yes, $125 is pricy, but not out of line. Did the email include the menu for the dinner? I would go for it if I were you.

I love both the Dahlia and Januik wines but $125 seems a bit steep. But, that's probably a reflection of the wine price.

I do not know about the wine dinner itself. We do enjoy the Januik wines very much though!
