Finally the humid weather is gone and I want to head to a new place tonight along the coast, since a sea breeze is due later today. Any suggestions? I've hit most places on the water in Boston proper, but haven't done a whole lot of seaside dining in Revere, Winthrop, East Boston, Charlestown, Southie, or Quincy.

Someplace informal would be nice. And outdoor dining would be really nice. Thanks for any suggestions!

I've been to:
Eastern Pier
Sullivan's
Kelly's
No Name
Joe's
Tavern on the Water
Jimmy's

Not sure how close to the sea Floating Rock in Revere is, and I haven't been there yet, but from the sound of things from this board, you might want to give them a try.

The food at Floating Rock is wonderful. However, it is not seaside. It is like being in Siem Riep or Pha Nom Pen though (I know spelling are wrong sorry.) Wonderful South East Asian food!!!!

In Marina Bay in Quincy, I like Capt' Fishbones and Siros and I think it is Quincy (maybe Dorchester), not sure but Venezia is right of Route 93 and is beautiful on the water.

Went to Kelly's on Revere Beach twice while vacationing in Boston during the week of July 10, 2005. The first time, we ordered a clam roll (per Rachel Ray's $40/a day show) and a small roast beef sandwich(since it's called Kelly's Roast Beef). The small was definitely large enough for us!

This location is more of a walk up window restaurant. You order then pick up at a different window location.

You can cross the street and enjoy the beach from a covered breezeway with benches or walk to the water's edge.

We enjoyed the sandwiches enough to return two days later. This time we took the subway. Omigosh, a two mile trek from the subway stop to the restaurant, but lovely weather to enjoy and those sandwiches at the end of the trek.

I don't think it's *two* miles. Were you at the right stop?

3/4 mile, my guess.
