I was underwhelmed at the downtown Qdoba. I much prefer Cancun Express on Bedford St..about a block away..bordering Chinatown.

totally agree. chains like qdoba really bum me out. cancun express is so much better, and yet the lines are out the door at qdoba and cancun has only a few patrons. what are people thinking? go over to cancun. even andale around the corner is beter than qdoba. to the original poster, try either one and you'll never darken qdoba's door again. trust me.

That is just wrong! I grew up in Colorado and places like Cancun or Andale wouldn't stay open. The reason a place like Qdoba (from Denver) thrives is because the food is good, it's fresh, and the flavors are unique. It's not the dry brown rice, smothered with cheese and red sauce type of what New Englanders think "traditional" mexican should be, it's meant to be unique. They wouldn't have been able to build 20 plus in Denver alone if the food wasn't good. People there have thousands of choices in Mexican.

I tried the downtown one and could eat less than 1/2 of the chicken burrito. Too much rice and way too bland, even with the supposedly spicy sauce.

Qdoba is owned by Jack-in-the-Box, in case that influences your behavior.

I went once, before I realized that, and wouldn't likely have gone back anyway.
