My favorite burger in Greater Boston is also a fine place to watch the game: R.F. O'Sullivan's on Beacon Street in Somerville (the continuation of Hampshire St in Cambridge), which sits between Inman and Porter Squares. Nice little neighborhood tavern, and what a burger!

Other places where you might get the game include Charlie's Kitchen in Harvard Square (respectable bar food), the Forest Cafe between Harvard and Porter Squares on Mass Ave (very good Mexican), the Overdraught on Cambridge Street in East Cambridge (Irish pub with decent food), the Miracle of Science on Mass Ave near Central Square (very good, eclectic bar food), Jasper White's Summer Shack right next to the Alewife stop on the Red Line (terrific New England seafood: sit in one of the bars).

That game will be on the local CBS broadcast affiliate Channel 4, so you can find it even in bars that don't have premium cable or satellite packages. You will run up against folks everywhere wanting to watch World Series pre-game stuff in the last half of the football game.

You may have a problem because BC is playing Notre Dame at 2:30, and you may have to fight for a tv in any local bar/pub.

Do people really watch BC or Notre Dame games? Ha, ha - just kidding. I expect I'll have to find somewhere with more than a couple of TVs. I am sure that my game won't be on the top of the totem pole around here.
