So far I have done the restaurant week-thang at Mantra and the Monday Club Bar Dining Room. The food has been good (fantastic bread and spread at Mantra!!!), but the portions have been disappointingly small. I've eaten at the Monday Club Bar before and thought I remembered generous portions and a nice "doggie bag". Has anyone else experienced this?

Had lunch at Lala Rokh on Monday. Upon seeing the app and main size I wondered if I'd be full, but after eating was feeling quite sated. The food was good-service lacking. I'm glad I ventured in, but don't need to go back.

How much food are you looking for for $30.04? I didn't think Upstairs/Monday Club would be the kind of a place you'd look to get a doggie bag...

I ate at the Monday Club Bar last night and thought that the portions we're fine.

However, I do think we'd have been better off ordering an app, two entrees, and a dessert a la carte for about the same price as the RW menu. They clearly cut food costs but offering two veggie apps and one pasta and one fish entree (the only meat to be found was a few bits of bacon in the pasta). Not that eating veggie/fish/pasta is such a bad thing, but the complete absence of any meat or poultry was notable.

It's really only an issue because overall the food was underwhelming, and to top things off, I think the haddock wasn't all that fresh. It tasted a bit fishy, with or without the skin, and in general I don't think of haddock as a particularly oily fish.

Thought the portions at Silks were small, but Locke Ober was the opposite. Went for lunch and both the swordfish and skirt steak were too large to finish.
