I'm a Cambridge eater (taste in brunch places runs to East Coast Grill and Johnny D's) but will be meeting an out-of-town friend for brunch this coming Sunday, July 4, somewhere between North Attleboro and Norwood. I have no idea what's in that area. We prefer fresh, seasonal and eclectic, but we'll settle for something a few cuts above Friendlys with a pleasant atmosphere. Price not important. Any suggestions?

Don't know what your route will be, but if you are near Rte 1 or 1A then James' Roadside Cafe in Wrentham sounds like what you are looking for. James' is a small cafe which is chef owned and operated by a graduate of Johnson & Wales, and he uses fresh local ingredients as available. James' is open on Sundays from 7:00am to 2:00pm. Interesting breakfast specialties available all day, also a lunch menu starting at 11:00am. Wonderful homemade soups at lunch. From Wrentham center, at the intersection of 1A and Rte 140, take Rte 140 North (Franklin Street) toward Franklin. Go about 2.1 miles to number 850 on the right. The total distance on Rte 140 North if starting from Rte 1 is about 4.5 miles.
