I must relay the fabulous evening that four friends and I recently shared at Crush on Madison Ave (in Seattle). Not only was the food delicious, the atmosphere dripping with casual elegance, but the service was among the best any of us have had. To top it off, the co-owner and chef, Jason Wilson, went out of his way to make the birthday celebration special and memorable. When he and I spoke the day prior to the reservation, he arranged for the pastry chef to concoct an amazing chocolate cake (not on the menu) and then offered to buy candles -- to my specifications! The restaurant's generosity and inviting atmosphere was truly exceptional. Alas, I want to tell everyone I know (and even those that I do not know)to go and enjoy this cozy new restaurant!

Wow- you had a completely different experience than I had. I will never return to Crush. The service was arrogant and the hostess acted like she was far superior to our party. I had the seared scallops on risotto with foie gras. the dish sounded interesting but was incredibly rich and i couldn't even finish half of it. I lived in Paris for 2 years so I've eaten plenty of foie gras. Sexy atmosphere-yes. Does it deserve the raves it's been getting in the revies? IMO, No.

My experience was similiar to Andie's. Reading this board, it appears that noone here has fallen in love with Crush. I think they are the most overhyped restaurant to come along in years. Maybe that's why we've been disappointed?
