Cafe Fiorella, Belmont

  • j

My original plan on Sun. was to try Petsi's Pies but somehow I ended up in Belmont where I grabbed a prosciutto, mozzarella, etc sandwich at this cafe on Belmont St. Linda's Donuts was just a couple doors down but I was much too late to catch them open. One of these days. In any case, friendly people working at this little place that serves brick oven pizzas, pasta, calzones and sandwiches in the $5-10 range. The sandwich was on a wider style Italian bread with some seeds, good amount of prosciutto but not enough basil. Their takeout menu also lists Fiorella's on North St. Newton and the Breakfast Club in Allston. Rancatore's ice cream is just a couple doors in the opposite direction, definitely worth another trip out to Belmont.

  1. Having lived in Watertown for 3+ years, but never being an early riser on the weekends, I don't think I ever caught Linda's being open. And I lived about 4 blocks from Linda's. Striperguy?

Not too sure how late they are open on the weekend. During the week it is at least 2:00pm.

I am sure they are open til at least noon.

Try any donut they have left.

I recenly expanded my horizons and tried a jelly donut (which I usually hate) on the principle that anything they may will be good. Lo and behold I would eat their jelly donut any day!

Thanks, I work in Needham so was never around during the weekdays before 2 PM. Weekends I'd wake up late. Sounds like I missed out.

I'm always awake by 8:30AM no matter what day of the week, will *definiely* get my butt out there. And make the trip to Kane's in Saugus and the Medford place.

Dax, try Mike's donuts in Forest Hills station some time, they're open late. Giant slightly crispy plain donut, just the way it should be. There's a location on Tremont St. in Mission Hill too but I haven't been to that one.
