The place was packed, with everyone trying to buy apple pie or ISB. The bakery was having a weekend special of Irish stew (lamb) and corned beef sandwich. Didn't have the stamina to try the sandwich, but ordered a cup of stew. Cooked well with LOTS of veggies (carrots, onions, celery, etc) and herbs (parsley, rosemary, etc) and a fair amount of lamb. Not too salty and very hearty; perfect for a cold, overcast day. After watching everyone order apple pie, I couldn't resist and ordered an apple square for myself. The crusts (upper and bottom) were quite thick; actually, TOO thick, as they were unbaked towards the center. The apples seemed to be fresh, but not enough spices as much as I would have liked. I ended up just picking out the apples inside, wishing I had a few dashes of cinnamon and nutmeg with me. In any case, I highly recommend the stew at Greenhills.
