Sorrento in Olympia

We had a wonderful lunch at Sorrento in Olympia today. It's on the corner of Legion Way and Jefferson. I had the spinach salad and my husband had the penne with italian sausage. Top quality food and service. There was not a drop left on either of our plates! We felt the owner and his staff really cared that we were there. Welcome to Olympia. We need you!

    1. Thank you thank you thank you. I spent too many years living in Olympia and having to drive to Seattle to get something to eat.

Here are other Oly treats. Milkshakes at The Spar. Bagel and ambiance at Otto's around the corner. Short list.

Just one block south from the Safeway on 4th Ave, in the center of a parking lot is a piped artisanal well, splurting out. You'll probably notice local hillbillies and punk rockers loitering around with a shopping cart filled with milk jugs slowly collecting the water and slurping it with satisfied grins. Go and drink some. It is the best water in the world.

Until I found this pipe I never understood why Olympia existed. Now you know too.

Also, there is D. Hammett's short story "Goldfishes."
