Free "Annual Grand Tasting" Saturday Gordon's in Waltham

  • s

Just a quick note for the Boston Hounds:

Gordon's in Waltham (my favorite wine store) is having their annual grand tasting tomorrow. Best of all, it's free!

This is not your usual wine store Saturday tasting with half a dozen open bottles. This is their once a year grand tasting with 150 or so wines.

Saturday October 19th Noon to 5:00 pm

Gordon's Fine Wines & Liquor
894 Main Street
Waltham, MA

  1. Thanks for that info--will attend! Do you know if there will be reps from vineyards there or special pricing on wines?

      I believe there are reps.

Gordon's is one of the best priced wine stores in Boston to begin with, that said, generally they do 10-20% off a case even if it is mixed.

I bet they have some special deals going for the tasting as well.

    2. Can't begin to say how worthwhile this event is and thanks to Striper Guy for the heads up! I do shop at Gordon's a couple of times a month and have had very good advice from employees when I needed it. This tasting of 100 plus wines featured VERY knowledgeable wine reps, and a great range of kinds, countries, and prices of wines. It was well run, well attended. If you can get there today, do it! Stuck mostly to cabs and zins--Franciscan, Merryvale, Arrrowood, Silvarado, Mondavi--lots of good choices! Had found myself drinking mostly CA wines lately, and enjoyed trying Greek, Spanish and Australian, and revisiting Bordeaux and Medoc choices. Not a lot of Italian wines, unless I somehow missed them. Lovely selection of olives, cheeses, breads, fruit and crackers too.

        Coyote... I am jealous.

It is 4:00 and I have not had a chance to make it over. Just had a busy day.

Glad you liked it! Gordon's rules.
