Lobster in Boston Proper

  • e

A friend is coming into town for business and wants to take her colleagues to a nice (mid to high priced) place for lobster. I usually go to Ipswich or Gloucester for lobster dinners, so I am no help. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

  1. IN Boston, your best bet is Grill 23. Pricey, but soooo good.
On the other hand, I would opt for the more classic new england lobster, and head to Woodmans on the North Shore.

Or, if it's *good* lobster you want, go some place where they cook it to order. Woodman's cooks dozens or, for all I know, hundreds in advance every day. They have them all out on a cart in front of the restaurant. You pick out one you like, and they reheat it for you. I go down the street to Essex Seafood for my lobsters these days.
