Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get great potato salad around Boston? I know this is hard because there are like a zillion kinds of potato salad and also the deli scene seems to be lacking around town but a few places have to surface with something that stands out. Personally, I like Eagle's Deli potato salad in Cleveland Circle.
I know that the question is on where to acquire good potato salad, but I thought it might be worth mentioning that the most recent issue of Cook's Illustrated has some fantastic recipes for quick & easy French potato salads. I've been really happy with one of the variations that includes slivers of cornichons, red onions, and capers.
I think that Elia's Country Store on Route 62 in Wilmington just off of 93 North makes by far the best no frills potato salad. They simply have the best store bought Potato Salad I have ever had.
