I was surprised my two posts about dry aged beef drew little or no response. I am wondering where all the carnivores are. At any rate, has anyone tried Fire Bull in Peabody or any of the other Churrasco offerings in the Boston area? Which do you think are the best?

Midwest Grill in Camb. is fun and not a bad deal at about $19 for all you can eat. The meat is VERY salty tho. I prefer Cafe Belo in Allston (and another location in Kenmore Sq.) where you serve yourself the buffet foods, have a guy at the end of the line carve the amount of meat you want and pay by the pound ($4 or so per lb). A very good deal.

I think you'll find that "foodies"do not frequent steak houses all that much. Steakhouses are still considered very traditional, and the bastion of buiness men on big expense accounts.

The restaurants Paul mentions are actually not steakhouses. They're 'churrascos'. I went to one in Texas, and really enjoyed it. I don't know how the local ones compare, I've been meaning to go. It's basically a Brazilian bbq where the waiters bring various grilled meat on skewers and slice off chunks for your meal. There's a link to the restaurant I went to in Houston to give you an idea, although I don't know if the ones around here are anything like this place:
