Appetizer suggestions - the catch: I'll be cooking

Hi there,
a friend asked me to help her make some noteworthy appetizers for an upcoming party. She wants a relatively easy hot appetizer selection. Note of caution - the last party she got a bit tipsy and forgot about the crostini in the oven - whoops!
any suggesions appreciated. Thanks!

      This is more hors d'ouvres than appetizer. But if it's a cocktail party or buffet, it would work.

      Puff Pastry w/ various fillings

      Buy frozen puff pastry at the supermarket
      Cut it into squares
      Put a dab of filling* in the center of each square
      Fold into triangles
      (Brush with egg wash if wanted)
      Bake until golden
      Serve hot

      * Fillings:
      Blue cheese
      Olive tapenade
      Almost anything from a jar in the fridge

      2. Hey Rivka -- you'll do better if you post this to the General Topics part of the chowhound site. That way you will receive the wisdom and comfort of hounds from all over the country. The Boston board is for discussions specific to the Boston area. (Not that Boston area hounds can't help with your request, but you know what I mean....)
