Anyone Tried Orleans in Davis Square

  • l

Has anyone eaten at Orleans, the new restaurant/bar on Holland street off Davis Square? What did you think of it?

  1. Although I have not eaten there, they have the most pathetic champagne service I have ever experienced. That said, if I were to dine there, I would stick with simpler dishes. However, I do like the atmoshpere.

Go, and let us all know what you think.

A Tufts email address, I see. What department are you in? I'll understand if you'd rather not say. I'm in MA program in philosophy, myself.

I'll definitely report back if I give it a try.

Had dinner at Orleans two weeks ago. It was great. The menu is very interesting - would have been happy with anything on it. The food was fabulous, service very good. They've done a great job changing the look of the place without any major renovations. Hope they do well!

Is it expensive? I walked past it on the way to Mr. Crepe (different thread) and it seemed a bit pricy. Could you let us know what you spent on dinner -- approximately?

Entree's were probably in the $20 range. Our check was $87 (before tip) for three - we all had appetizers and main course, no dessert and only one person had wine. I thought it was worth it.

Thanks for replying. Sounds like it's worth a shot. That location has notoriously bad restaurant luck. Maybe Orleans will break the curse.

Yes, I have been there three times and thought it was very good. The service was excellent and attentive. The decor hip and trendy. A nice addition to Davis Square.
