Where can I find a great salad bar in the metro Boston area?
My favorites are any of the Bread and Circuses, or Whole Foods, or whatever they're called..The two best are at Fresh Pond, and the new one near Mem. Drive. Last time I was at Symphony it was mediocre..
I'm a real salad bar fan from California, and so far I've seen nothing in Boston like the giant all-you-can eat spreads at chains like Fresh Choice and Souplantation, aka Fresh Tomatoes. Soupersalad, which is not all-you-can-eat, is my bet for best of the chains here (and the only chain salad bar restaurant as far as I know). If you're looking for a gourmet experience with less but more select choices, Celia's in Davis Square is wonderful.. they have all sorts of marinated vegetables and other offerings to add to your greens at the bar.
