No more Bha Dat

  • s

During my last forray into Chinatown, I noticed that Bha Dat (sp?) was closed. It was a noodle soup shop on Harrison St I think that had some awesome spicy noodle soups. What's the best alternatives these days for interesting, unusual, and spicy noodle soups?

  1. I used to love Bha Dat..Cheapest goi cuon in town, and damned good! I haven't eaten here, but 2 different sources whom I respect say Nam Vang, at 7 Beach St, is good.. That's the Vietnamese rest. in Chinatown I'm trying next.....

Thanks for the Nam Vang recommendation. I went there last night and had a great bowl of noodle soup with shrimp balls. Not huge portions, but the soup was tasty with lots of excellent garnishes (toasted garlic, scallions, etc.). It looks like they have a pretty good selection of Vietnamese and Chinese options...definitely worth a try.
