Chowhound alert!!!!!! In Nova Scotia or New Brunswick, you must try the ubiquitous Scallop Cakes. Like a 'fish stick' but round, served on a bun or english muffin. Some are baked, some deep fried; we bought a case (36) and these little guys are a taste of heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These sound like they're basically crab cakes with scallops, no?

In Yarmouth NS, take the road out to the light house. Just outside the parking lot to the light house is a little trailer type of snack bar. They sell a scallop burger, which is a bunch of very fresh Digby scallops deep fried together served together on a hamburger roll. Sounds simple, but haven't tasted anything like anywhere else.
