Any recommendations for a great specimen in the Boston area? Preferably in an upscale-ish/cozy setting.

One place immediately comes to my mind for a great baked stuffed lobster in a cozy, upscale setting -- The Oak Bar. It's my favorite bar in Boston anyways, very elegant but relaxing and comfortable, live jazz on some nights, cozy chairs and lounges, and excellent martinis. The lobster is on the Oak Room menu, but any item of the menu can be served in the Oak Bar.....

Grill 23 and Bar has amazing lobster, period. They've also got the the cozy/upscale atmosphere down pat. I've only had their steamed lobster, but it was the best I've ever tasted. They know how to mix a classic cocktail there, too, i.e., they don't got slipping chocolate syrup and melon liquor into everything on the menu and calling it a Martini. (/end rant)

The Capital Grille has great lobster. Try the grilled lobster and you will never eat them any other way again. They come in sizes from 2 pounds up to 5 pounds and are simply delicious. Get them with the tomatoe salad and asparagus spears and you will be in heaven!
