Can't believe I haven't posted about this place before. Went there last night for the first time in a year or so. It's in East Arlington, in the same block as the Capitol Theater. Just a little hole in the wall (no atmosphere, Shaebones! ;-> ), but they make their own pasta and sauces, the cannolis are filled to order, and the sandwiches are super-fresh and on Iggy's bread. The ravioli special of the day is always worth trying. Yesterday it was delicious: asparagus and mushroom rav with artichokes, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes in a tomato cream sauce. I asked for, and got, Iggy's rosemary foccaccia on the side. All for $7.95! You can also get fresh pasta, frozen sauce, and prepared dishes to go.

BTW, my route thereafter took me past a building on Broadway with a sign that said "Olive Branch Mediterranean Cuisine" or some such. Does anybody have any dope on this place?

I'm far from finished exploring E. Arlington. There's a lot going on there, in a quiet sort of way.

Olive Branch is great! The owner is super friendly and very accomodating to any special requests. The Moussaka is wonderful as are the grape leaves, and falafel. A good salad comes with the entrees, too. They even have pizza (haven't tried it, though). I definately recommend it.

Thanks, eggplantress! I'll check it out next time I'm in the area.
