Suburban Chinese

Hi,

I'm new to Chowhounds. I've been looking for decent Chinese in the Newton/Watertown/Waltham area. Most of the posts I've read are for Chinatown restaurants. I can't often get into Boston, so was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on good Chinese in these areas. Even Cambridge.

Thanks.

Here's a thread that should make you happy. Note especially the discussions around the Taiwanese place called Chung Shing Yuan in Newton/Watertown.

In Wellesley, on Washington St., near Star Market,
please try Tian Fu- Best Hot & Sour Soup I've ever tasted; think there's some sesame oil in it. Also, great orange flavored chicken.
        Enjoy!

Yo' PKitty, be aware that Chung Shing Yuan serves up Taiwanese food, which may be very different than the chinese food your accustomed to. Check out the threads on Taiwan Cafe below (or do a search) to get an idea of what kind of stuff to look for. I've also been told that the weekend brunches are what excels there. Let us know how it was. Cheers.
