  1. Zaftig's in Coolidge Corner does a nice breakfast. Nice eggs, french toast, blintzes, homefries. Breakfast is served all day. They tend to get croweded on weekends.

    1. You probably already know about Sorella's on Centre St. in JP. It's hugely popular, all kinds of french toast and pancakes. I live a few blocks away but hardly ever go. Cafe Cantata more towards JP centre has good brunch on Sat. and Sun. and of course the Centre St. Cafe but there's always a line. I actually like the Forest Hills Diner or something like that across from the bus station. It's a basic cheap greasy spoon but sometimes that's all you want. And in Brookline Village, there's a little place called Martin's Coffee Shop that has good stuff for pretty cheap.

      1. Hmmm - breakfast in West Roxbury. Tough one. Have you tried Centre St Cafe in JP? Great place - wonderful skillet breakfasts and pancakes. . . I think that Iguana Cantina in Needham Centre has a brunch on weekends also. Unfortunately, it's slim pickings in the West Roxbury area - the only place I can think of that has a decent breakfast is Corrib Pub, and I'm not even sure they serve breakfast any longer.

Iguana Cantina in Needhamm is no more. Is now something like "Erin's Isle" - haven't checked it out yet.

        2. Doyle's on Washington Street in J.P. has great breakfast food. A couple of blocks north of Forest Hills on the right.
