Bonfire... what's the story?
I've been a couple times (and usually with a big group that is in to sharing) so I've sampled a lot of the menu and have some suggestions. Appetizers: the Seoul-style short ribs are the best app on the menu. The calamari is good but standard. IF you sit at the bar, try a taco or two from the taqueria menu (the duck and the tuna are both excellent). If you are seated in the restaurant proper, ask if you can get a taco sampler - if they arent too busy they might be willing. Main courses: steak is the best thing on the menu and, in my mind; the porterhouse (Pricey at $48) and the "Cowboy" steak (~$32) are my favorites. I didn't love the prime rib -- fabulous texture but bland. Of course that is always my complaint about prime rib. The triple lamb rack is also very, very special. The venison was good but I didnt love the sauce it was in -- too overpowering. I did not like the Veal Oscar. I've never been hungry enough to try the desserts after the HUGE portions you get.
I'd love to hear what you think so please give us your review!
