White Clam Pizza Pie

  • s

Does anyone in the greater Boston area offer a white clam pie. Lombardi's in Soho in NYC makes the best I've tasted so far. I know of a few places in Connecticut but I'm not driving 2-3 hours for a clam pie! Only if I ahve to. Chopped clams, garlic, some grated pecorino, parsley and good olive oil . My mouth is watering as I type. HELP!

  1. I think Bertucci's still does.

Joanie, I'm surprised that you would mention Bertucci's. Never been a fan of their's. I'd go with Figs also. Served at all locations but I prefer the Charlestown spot. Also Vici in Coolidge Corner sometimes offers one, call ahead.

    2. Figs on Charles St has a good white clam pizza...probably the other Figs also.

      1. check out Sweet Tomatoes in Newton Center, one of the better white clam pies I've had. Nice clams and plenty of 'em, thin crispy all works. The pizza itself is white (no sweet tomato sauce), so if you've got enough mouths try to order a regular pie too (the pesto splash is just sensational), so you can get a load of the chopped-tomato sauce they do just right...
