Urgent catering need

Norman Dale Oct 14, 2001 03:07 PM

Back in the early 80s I lived in the Boston area and was always well taken care of by my Aunt who lived in Watertown, Mass. She died at the age of 87 last week and a memorial service will be held at her home Wednesday. I cannot be there because I live in British Columbia now.I want to send something along with the usual flowers.

I have tried to use the Web (unsuccessfully) to locate a caterer who could provide, plain and simple, a great big platter of cooked large prawns with a side tub of garlic butter. This is what she, and many of her friends liked best. Most of the caterers have far more ambitious menus that just are not what she and her friends would want.

A response with suggestions sent direct to email would be a big help, given the short time available: ndale@uniserve.com

That is such a simple dish, why not do it yourself, maybe a friend could help. I would even help it would be a more personable, truly loving gesture.

I'm not sure the shrimp would hold up after the flight from British Columbia.

I think she means buy it here and cook it at the aunts house or wherever

I was joking cuz the original person specifically said they couldn't be there and was trying to arrange it long distance.
