Does anyone know the name of the Turkish or Middle Eastern Restaurant near Mass General? I remember reading about it a couple of years ago; but now I have a friend there, so I need to know!! Any good? Anything else right near? Thanks!!

  1. You are looking for Phoenicia at 240 Cambridge St.

    (617) 523-4606

    It is still quite popular.

      Thanks! We'll try it!

    2. There's also a Turkish place called Anadalou (I believe that's the spelling) on the same side of Cambridge Street as Finagle, about a block closer to Charles. I really like this place (particularly the tavuk adana sandwich, the ikli kofte, etc.)

      1. The Turkish place is Istanbul on Bowdoin St. opposite the state office buildings.
It's half a flight down, a dozen tables and a courtyard out back in good weather.
        Excellent food!

        1. Anadolu - same side as MGH - great food, esp. the Coban Salad - tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, olives, and feta w/ vinagrette.

Yes, I couldn't remember the name of that place either. Anadolu was opened by the same people who operate Turkish Cafe on Bowdoin (not sure if they're still around). Both are quite good.
