Atasca Portugese- Cambridge

Had a very good meal at the original Atasca on Broadway...great fava beans...good soft shell crab....the sardines were so-so- they were not super fresh- a lot fishier than the best fresh sardines ive had. But that was the only real complaint. simple, casual, reasonable, pretty good...

    I just got back from two weeks in Portugal and Atasca is not far behind some of the best places we ate over there. Thanks for the tip on the sardines.

    As for recommendations, they have a pate-like dish which is excellent. Also, anything with octopus, especially the appetizer.

      Thanks...i get to boston several times a year, although rarely for a 2 week stay like this time. ill certainly try it again. octopus is a fav oif mine

      I used to live around the corner from their old location, so I ate there many times. I agree that it is a nice place to eat, but they did have problems with consistency. Of course, that was two or three years ago...
