It appears that the completely wonderful Catalonian restuarant in Union Sq., Somerville, Rauxa, has closed its doors.
My poor palate!!
I share your disappointment.
The good news is that the chef has landed at Taranta in the North End. I have not been yet but am eager to do so. Although the food is closer to Italian than Spanish, there is talk that the menu will be nudged in the direction of Spain. A happy compromise, perhaps.
I was devestated by this...Rauxa had become one of my favorite restaurants in all of the Boston area. Chef Jim Becker has moved to Taranta, on Hanover Street. Still...I will miss that Catalan cuisine...
