Need recommendation near Boston Sheraton!

I would appreciate any advice of restaurants in walking distance to the Boston Sheraton Hotel next to the Pru. I don't like Asian or Indian food, but welcome all other types. I don't want to break the bank (meaning under Capitol Grill prices), but willing to spend a substantial amount. Thanks! -Jeff
Vox Populi on Boylston St. (formerly Back Bay Brewing Co.) has good food, and a "happening" scene if that means anything to you. Bukowski's is good for a cheap burger, interesting beer list and loud kind of place. Sonsie on Newbury St. isn't *too* expensive and I've always had good meals there. Brasseri Jo on Huntington Ave. is a good French meal. Dixie Kitchen on Mass Ave. for Southern food. I'm curious about the new St. Botolph's but haven't been there yet.
Barcode on Boylston St. is also a good "scene" place, very happening, have never eaten there, although I've never heard bad things about it.
Many choices! You are a five minute walk from Boylston and Newbury Streets which offer any type of cuisine you desire. For seafood, Atlantic Fish is close. Ciao Bella is good for Italian and for steaks, The Palm and
Abe & Louie's are also close. Talk to Amy, Joe or Monica on the concierge staff at The Sheraton and they will steer you in the right direction.
