My husband and I will be in Sudbury this April and are in need of a nice restaurant to take my mother out to. We would love to find a good italian restaurant (we adore the villa francesca in the north end), but would take any/all recommendations... All help is appreciated!

I have a couple suggestions for you.....there is an Italian restaurant called Luigi's on the Boston Post Road in Wayland, which is the next town over from Sudbury (heading east). The Post Road is also called Rte 20, and is a major road through Sudbury. My mother is Italian and she enjoys it; although it is not like the North End, it is probably the best Italian in the Sudbury/Wayland area. Another suggestion is the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, just off the Post Road going west. It is a lovely 300 year old Inn and we have celebrated many meals there. The food is traditional American (salmon, turkey, roast sirloin) and is of good quality. You can ask to sit in one of the smaller rooms (some have fireplaces). Enjoy your visit!
