I'll be staying in Andover the last week of March, and will be looking for SEAFOOD, especially shellfish, crab, lobster. Can anyone help?

I like Joe Fish in North Andover. The chef /owner used to be with Legal Seafoods, and it has the feel of Legal's from before it was THE Legal seafood (special's on chalkboards, etc). While the decor is a bit tacky, it has a good selection and good food.

Andover isn't far from Rt.1 in Peabody.Whenever I visit my parents there, we go to the Sea Witch, a very no-frills seafood place that has the best lobster specials (steamed, with steamers, with mussels, etc) on the Northshore..Very unassuming, but people who like shellfish go there...Cheap wine, cheap cherrystones, and great steamed vegetable sides! I drive my guests up from Boston for lobster!

If you like fried, I'd recommend Woodman's in Essex on Rte. 133 - open year-round, and although hype is high, they are really very good. Fried clams, scallops, fish; they have steamers and lobster, and I believe they have a nice selection of draft beer, and wine as well. Not the cosiest/most romantic - more family style - but probably quiet in the winter.
