We are joining another couple for dinner on March 3. Last time we went out with them they took us to Flemming's Steak House which we all liked. It's now our turn. He likes meat and potatoes kind of food, but we don't want to do another steak house. They live in Newton and we are in NH, so Boston or metrowest/north is fine. Thanks for any suggestions.

  1. Redbones BBQ in Davis Sq is great. They have ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, etc. Super yummy stuff. I know you weren't interested in steak house, but Frank's steakhouse in Porter Sq is quite good.

Thanks. Redbones looks great. We are looking for something a little more upscale for this trip, but I'll put it on the list to try soon.

    2. If you want upscale, I'd go to one of the Capitol Grills on Newbury St. or on Rt. 9 in Chestnut Hill. Grill 23 is pretty fun too and it's all about the meat.
