Anyone been to Centro's yet?

Recently read about Centro's, new Central Square (Cambridge) italian place that is run by Rene Michelina (of La Bettola fame). Any thoughts?

Centro is grafted onto the side of The GoodLife and their wine list shows that all too well.

My Tuscan style steak tasted like it had been wrapped in asbestos and then sentenced to a blast furnace for about 30 seconds.

I'd say try Centro again -- the steak incident was probably a fluke. Their pork chop is one of the tops in the city, wrapped in caul fat, stuffed with bitter greens, hauntingly touched with fennel pollen. The bolognese's top-notch. The shrimp meatballs on the capellini pasta good enough to mass market. And the polenta is the best I've had besides Union Square in NYC. Plus, he honey-thyme marscarpone on the pound cake for dessert. All for $14-$16 a plate. Boston could use about three dozen more places like this.
