Not sure whether to post this on the South Board or the Midwest Board............... we will be camping near Mammoth Cave National Park in June. I like to research restaurants in the area for bad weather days or I'm too tired to cook days. Wondered if anyone would have any recommendations for casual restaurants in the area? Barbeque in particular. Thanks --

Go south on I-65 about 30 miles to Bowling Green.
See the National Corvette Museum, Western Kentucky University Campus and Lost River Cave.

I live in Lexington and have now driven twice to the Cave from here. I can say that there is absolutely nothing to eat between here and there, or, that is to say, west/north of the park. I'd go with the BG tips above, and pack as much food as you can with you.

The town of Horse Cave is nearby and if it is still there, there was a combo bookstore restaurant that had great fried chicken and the fixings. Definitely casual. The town is not very big and it is right there on the main drag.
