        <content>Or gourmet kitchen stores that have kitchen set-ups for classes.  Looking for the kind of thing where you pay $40 (or so) and go learn how to cook different fare in a relaxed setting.
 
Especially interested if anyone knows of anything in the Lake Norman area, but would be willing to go into charlotte.

      <content>There is a store  on 7th St. just off of Hawthorne Lane, called Cooking Uptown, which sells higher end cooking equipment, etc. Web link is below.

      <content>thanks...I had found the cooking uptown website and signed up for their mailing list.  I've been to secret ingredients, but didn't realize they had classes - thanks for that - I'll check them out next time I'm in cornelius.
