That said, the food has been good when I've been, I just don't love it. Consistently the best meal I've had is at Wild Boar --the foie gras is to die for, and the wild boar is also delicious. It's also perhaps one of the most, if not the most, expensive restaurants in Nashville. If you want something that's a little cheaper but still good, I would recommend Margot Cafe or Chapel Bistro. Both are in East Nashville, and both have very nice atmospheres. As something different, depending on where you're from, I would recommend going to Judge Beans BBQ on 12th & Porter one night. It's good Texas BBQ and there is live music most nights. For breakfast there's the Pancake Pantry, which is simply an outstanding diner, great food, reasonable prices. Both are near Vanderbilt. A good hotel is Loew's nearby, if you haven't already booked.
