Hey Hounds..Anyone know a few good places for lunch in Valdosta? Trying to avoid a fast food chain lunch, if at all possible.

On place mentioned is Texa's????

  1. In April, we were trying to avoid the extremely slow traffic on I-75 and ate a very enjoyable meal at the Sonic Drive In on US 129 as we left on the far NE side Valdosta.

Well, Sonic is not exactly what we had in mind, but you know...we may be forced to do that. It depends if we want to go the 5 miles into valdosta to go to the diner.

I happen to love the variety of Sonic's drinks. Not much else though. They are doing very well though.

Not to late at all SBC..Thanks. I did see the diner...It's 5 miles off I-75 which is the only drawback. But, we may go for it. Heard it was good. It is also mentioned in dixiedining.com

Hey, thanks for all your help!

You know I believe we have been to the BBQ place not once but twice. Not sure, but the one we've been to is right along side I-75 sort of up on a hill. You can get right back on the Interstate.

If that's the one..It's not bad. Very clean, wonderful waitresses, half way decent "Q". Thinking hard about the diners or the Greek place though...

          Thanks again
