Also don't miss getting some Clemson Blue Cheese made by the Ag dept. The blue cheese dressing is to die for. Listed by numerous magazines as one of the top ten in the country. Come on now we are talking about Clemson. The directions to the palce are south until you smell it and north until you step in it. (407 S Elm St. - it's not far from I-85) I haven't been there in quite a few years but have had good experiences in the past. The recommendation of Skin Thrashers for Hot Dogs is one that I have heard plenty of times. There is also a local burger joint called Mac's Drive In where locals swear by the chili cheeseburger. That's about all of the hope that I can give you outside of fast food. If you have access to a car during your visit, I recommend the short drive north to Greenville to visit Henry's Smokehouse for barbeque. It's located on Wade Hampton Boulevard near the BiLo Center. About 15 minutes from clemson. Skin's hot dogs originated here, but is closed on mondays and sundays. Also there is a restaurant downtown here in anderson called Sullivans metropolitan grill. They have excellent food as well as an upscale atmosphere. Try'em out and I hope your stay in this area is enjoyable!!
