Atlanta tapas recommendations?

What are people's recommendations for good tapas in Atlanta?

i, too, like Pura Vida, but Loca Luna has always done me well (in midtown). Sweet Devil Moon, I feel is a tad overpriced. Fuego is great from 4:00-6:00 p.m. during the week. They have $1 tapas! It's pretty good too. Cuerno just opened up this year and it has a small tapas menu. I hear the atmosphere is why you go there, not so much the food. The most expensive out of this group is Pura Vida...but i agree, it's also the best of the lot.

If you don't mind going OTP, Veranda in Roswell is a Greek restaurant that does a tapas menu on weekends for lunch. It's very, very good.

Pura Vida is great because they have an interesting drink and tapas menu. Theie Bloody Maria is the best spicy bloody drink hands down but Cuerno has the edge over Pura Vida in terms of quality (although the menu is not as creative as Pura Vida).

Pura Vida is definately our favorite, though we were a little disappointed last time. THey change their menu a couple times a year, so we'll wait before going back. Twist in Phipps Plaza - though pricier - is another great choice. They change the menu regularly, but they have great tapas, sushi and entrees. It's a standard for us.

Not a fan of Twist at all, eaten there twice and been very underwhelmed (part of the Shout, Strip, etc. group of restaurants, none of which I would suggest for the food). Pura Vida is definitely the chowhound destination for tapas in atlanta though.

I would totally agree about Twist, Shout, Prime..........none have interesting food. Actually none of them have even what I would consider average food.

Loca Luna's food is delicious, but the atmosphere is a little on the collegiate drinking and date-impressing side. It still made for a memorable meal entertaining a group of out-of-town professors and exchange students though.

Pura Vida (Poncey-Highland) and Eclipse di Luna (Miami Circle) are good options. Also consider Sweet Devil Moon (Oakhurst in Decatur) and Noche (in Virginia-Highland). I think the place next to the Fox now serves tapas---now called Bacar? Really not sure of the name, and haven't been myself.

There's a place near the Fox called Baraonda.. not sure if that's what you're talking about? It has pizza mostly and some other dishes that aren't as good as the wood-burning-oven pizza. If they're trying to branch out to do tapas, I'd be wary.

Tapas places appear to be opening all over Atlanta. My favorite is Pura Vida. Eclipse di Luna is also popular and if you want more of a party atmosphere try Loca Luna.

Just a quick update - we didn't go for tapas after all, we wound up going to Aria in Buckhead and having a very nice dinner, but I am still hoping to get out to Pura Vida sometime soon. Thanks again for the advice.
