Is Scholl's public house pizza opened in PDX yet? From an earlier thread was it supposed to be called APIZZA Scholl's?
Thanks, MARIA

It's not open yet. Hopefully Brian or someone else from the restaurant will pop up here, but they're ready but waiting for things they have no control over.

And yes: Apizza Scholls.

Belive me, I'm as eager as everyone. That's hopefully going to be where our January food outing for PortlandFood.org will be.

I'm in the dark on this one. Why is there buzz around Apizza Scholls? Are these local heroes? Wonders from afar? Did I miss a discussion somewhere?

Links and illumination appreciated!

Yes to both.

Scholls Public House was a pizza place in Scholls -- way out SW. It was always slammed for one very good reason: fantastic pizza. They were overwhelming the locals with parking issues and so have moved to Portland in the restaurant that used to house Surabaya. It's a bit smaller, but they have a great patio area. And they'll have twice the ovens.

Do a quick find for "Scholls" and you'll see some threads. It's true NY style, ultra-thin crust made from slow-risen dough, cooked to crisp on bottom with a perfect balance of high quality ingredients.
