Is the Coleman-King Sauce Co. in Florence, SC closed?

I keep hearing conflicting reports that the Coleman-King Sauce company, makers of "CHS Bar-B-Q sauce", may have closed their doors. It used to be carried by Piggly Wiggly in Savannah (local franchisee based out of Charleston), but it's now gone. A Piggly Wiggly on Hilton Head did have a few bottles left.

Anyone know in the Florence area if they have closed? If so, this is a big loss to BBQ & hot sauce lovers everywhere!

I have a relative in Florence, SC and I will contact them to see what I can find out. Will let you know.

I saw that BBQ sauce today, August 11, 2009, at the Piggly Wiggly in Lancaster, SC. So it is still being made and distributed.

Yes, the CHS Bar-B-Q Sauce is alive and well. It is sold in Piggly Wiggly and IGA Grocery Stores. The former owner of Roger's BBQ bought CHS after he sold his restaurant about five years ago. He bought another restaurant last year and named it Woodstone BBQ.
